AzCDL Annual Meeting

The Arizona Citizens Defense League (AzCDL) Seventeenth Annual Meeting of Members will be held on October 8, 2022, at the Sheraton Crescent, 2620 W Dunlap in Phoenix.

Dave Kopp passed (56)

The Arizona Citizens Defense League sadly announces the passing of its founding President and chief lobbyist, Dave Kopp. Dave succumbed to a 12-year battle with cancer on Wednesday, August 24th.

Despite his ongoing illness, Dave worked tirelessly in the trenches of managing an organization and leading the charge at the Legislature, protecting our freedom. In a profile in courage, he kept his illness private so as not to have his struggle interfere with that for freedom.

He had resigned as president several months ago and was the President Emeritus on the Board. Dave selected Michael Gibbs as President, and Cheryl Todd as Vice-President, and the Board agreed. Dave was also a founding member of the AzCDL Foundation, and he was extremely proud of the work the Foundation has done to bring FASTER Saves Lives to Arizona.

His passing will neither diminish the AzCDL mission, nor the passion for our rights. His spirit runs deeply through the organization. We await further news from the family as to any services for Dave

Arizona becomes 2nd state to legalize suppresors for hunting. March 29, 2012 Governor Jan Brewer signed, House Bill 2728, which grants hunters in Arizona the right to use legally owned suppressors while hunting game animals. With the passage of the law, Arizona became the second state in 2012 to legalize suppressor use while hunting.

Today (2017) 40 states are open to hunting with suppressed firearms

Arizona Outdoor Expo – Industry Media Day 2019

Friday March 29th before Outdoor EXPO weekend.

Once again all EXPO firearm vendors are encouraged to invite dealer staff, industry writers and bloggers to sample the latest products and industry standards. get your products in front of the media and conduct interviews and podcasts on site.

There is no fee for attendance but this event is not open to the public.

The range will be open from 10am – 2pm and parking will be on the 1,000 yard range. We look forward to seeing you there.

Big Sandy Shoot Fall 2018

A twice a year, three day weekend of friends, weapons, targets and gear in Arizona’s high, western desert. With a quarter mile long firing range, populated by hundreds of shooters, The Big Sandy is the largest machine-gun shoot in the United States. This NFA shooting range will test yourself, your weapon and your sights.

Held in Northwestern Arizona, approximately 10 miles northeast of the town Wikieup, where you can get some distance on your targets. Some targets fly the length of the range at high speeds, some explode. If you’re up to it, please come visit this uniquely American event.
