Charles Q. Williams & Seabee Marvin G. Shields\nWilliams and Shields were awarded the Medal of Honor\nMaj. Lawrence T. Holland\, of the 615th Tactical Fighter Squadron\n\nOf the 20 Americans based there\, six were KIA (four Green Berets and two Seabees) and 14 WIA. Then there were the five MACV advisers and eight helicopter crewmen KIA. A fighter pilot killed brought the final toll to 19
